Submission Guidelines
The Nihon Sun welcomes submissions in the form of articles and photographs documenting any aspect of Japanese travel and culture.
Photo Submissions
The Nihon Sun features a new photograph of Japan each week and welcomes submissions.
Have you taken a great photo of Japan that you would like to share? If so, you could be featured as a guest photographer on The Nihon Sun and have your shot included in The Nihon Sun Japan Photo Gallery.
Guest photographers receive a feature article that includes a single image and a few words about where the shot was taken and the story behind it. The Nihon Sun will provide link back to the photographers blog, Flickr site and/or where the photo can be purchased. The images is then added to the Japan Photo Gallery with a caption and a link. Copyright remains with the photographer at all times although The Nihon Sun cannot be held liable for copyright infringement.
Use the contact form below to submit a link to the photo (or a brief description of the image if it is not available online) along with your contact information and your story for consideration. If your photo is selected we will request a web optimize version (600px X 400px) of the image via email and will work with you to create a great feature from your shot.

Article Submissions
Have you recently visited a cool place or attended an event in Japan that was too great to keep to yourself?
Do you have a passion for the culture or history of Japan and a desire to share that knowledge with others?
If so, we would would love to hear from you!
The Nihon Sun has approximately 200 subscribers, 30,000 page views per month and a Google Page Rank of 4 so having an article featured on The Nihon Sun is a great way to get exposure for your writing, your own personal website or simply a fun way to share your story with others. Contributors receive a link back to their site and become Friends of Nihon Sun.
Articles should be no longer than 1,000 words (600-800 is ideal) and accompanying images are also welcome.
